Governor of Enugu State, Peter Ndubuisi Mbah, has announced the State’s ‘New Enugu City Project’, which he said, “has garnered overwhelming support from our Nigerian diaspora in Guangdong Province, China”.

He said, “this is more than just a real estate development; it is a vision to reposition Enugu State as the premier destination for business, investment, tourism, and living”, and called on “all our people, both at home and abroad, to invest in Enugu”.
According to Governor Mbah: “I am thrilled to announce that our ambitious New Enugu City project has garnered overwhelming support from our Nigerian diaspora in Guangdong Province, China. During our roadshow in Guangzhou, we engaged with our people who have shown immense interest in this transformative project.
This is more than just a real estate development; it is a vision to reposition Enugu State as the premier destination for business, investment, tourism, and living. New Enugu City will be a smart city like no other, featuring residential areas, cutting-edge medical centers, sports arenas, and an innovation industrial park.
The China Communications and Construction Company (CCCC) has already commenced intensive work on the site since October 2023, and I assure you that critical services will be ready in 12 to 18 months. Our partnership with CCCC, one of the world’s best, and leading consulting firms from the UK, ensures that we are building a city that will compete with the best globally.
I call on all our people, both at home and abroad, to invest in Enugu. This is our chance to bring the dream we have for our state to life. Let’s make Enugu a state we can all be proud of. And build a city that offers the highest quality of life, the best opportunities, and a bright future for generations to come.”
