The Israeli PM said, Iran “will pay for it.”
On Tuesday 1 October, 2024, Iran launched almost 200 missiles “directly from Iranian soil” against Israel; an action which forces thousands of Israelis to take cover in bomb shelters.
In the wake of the attacks, President of Islamic Republic of Iran, Masoud Pezeshkian, said, “we have the right to defend ourselves.”
PM Netanyahu said: “Iran made a big mistake tonight – and it will pay for it.”
Israel Defence Forces (IDF) Spokesperson , Daniel Hagari, said, “there will be consequences”, adding, Iran’s attacks which struck “central and southern Israel was a severe and dangerous escalation”.
