Portuguese forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, has drawn nearer to 1,000-goal milestone after finding the back of the net three (3) times for Al Nassr in the Saudi Professional League match against Al-Kholood on Thursday 29 October, 2026.
The game at Alawwal Park in Riyadh had the former Manchester United forward net a hat-trick to defeat their visitors 5-3.
Ronaldo netted all three (3) goals in the second half of the top flight showdown; the Portugal Legend scored in the 66th, 72nd and 81st minutes to seal victory for the Kings of Saudi Arabia.
The treble has now taken Ronaldo, former Juventus forward, to a total of 985 career goals. The five-time Ballon d’Or winner is just fifteen (15) goals away from a 1,000-goal milestone he has been vehemently pursuing.
In an interview with Rio Ferdinand, whom he fielded with at Manchester United, Ronaldo said, he is targeting “1,000” goals; he added, only “injuries” can prevent him from clinching the feat.
Ronaldo said: “I want to reach 1,000 goals.
“If I don’t have any injuries, this for me is the most important [thing], I want that. For me, the best mark that I can have in football is to reach, first, 900 goals. After, my challenge is to be at 1,000 goals.”
Al Nassr dominated the game with 54% ball possession, and recorded nine (9) shots on target. A proof that the Global One have one of the most dreaded attack in the Saudi top football league system, however, their defense is still work in progress.
Currently, Al Nassr are second on the Saudi Pro League table with twenty-eight (28) points from eleven (11) games, trailing toppers, AL Qadsiah, who have also accumulated same points but after twelve (12) games, while, Al-Kholood are 11th with twelve (12) points.
