Harry Kane, English forward, was on target for Bayern Munich as the German Kings thumped Bodøe/Glimt by five (5) unreplied goals in the League Phase match of the Uefa Champions League 2026/27 on Thursday 10 September, 2026 at Allianz Arena in Munich.
The goal was Kane’s 55th in the Champions League as the Bavarians kicked off their continental campaign with a comfortable win on home turf.
It was a perfect start to the competition for Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich with the win against Bodøe, Norwegian Eliteserien side, who displayed a strong resistance in the first 45 minutes, however, fell greatly after the break, conceding all five (5) goals in the other half.
Jamal Musiala, opened the scoring for the hosts in the 47th minute with Kane’s assist; the German attacking midfielder was making his first start of the season after collapsing twice in August during pre-season.
Musiala, who had his youth career at Chelsea FC, netted after Kane’s shot deflected finely towards him.
Kane, England Captain, made it two in the 61st minute after Michael Olise had provided; Canadian defender, Alphonso Davies, netted the third in the 77th minute; and French winger, Olise, netted a brace to make it four (4) and five (5) in the 83rd minute and 2nd minute of additional time.
Englishman, Kane, scored the second, his 55th goal after seventy-one (71) appearances in the Champions League. This feat ranks the former Tottenham Hotspur player on the third spot of list of fastest goalscorers in terms of games played, to attain 55 goals.
Erling Braut Haaland ranks first after reaching the milestone in forty-nine (49) games; and Ruud Van Nistelrooy in seventy (70).
Bodøe/Glimt, playing in the Eliteserien, Norway’s highest level football league system, hardly threatened their German hosts, however, drew close to finding the net in the second half when Andreas Helmersen found Bayern goalkeeper Manuel Neuer, off his line and went for the lob from halfway, but the ball dropped on top of the net.
In one of the other games, Cesc Fabregas’ Como 1907, made light work of RB Leipzig, 4-1, at Stadio G. Sinigaglia in Como, Italy.
