German Bundesliga club, Bayern Munich, goal machine, Harry Kane, has expressed his readiness to field against Croatia in their FIFA World Cup 2026 opener on Wednesday.
England will lock horns with Croatia in the World Cup match on Wednesday 17June, 2026 at the massive, multi-purpose retractable-roof AT&T Stadium in Arlington, West of Dallas, Texas at 21:00 (WAT).
Via X, the England Captain said, he can’t wait to steer “our team at another World Cup!” He added, he feels “excited” as he gears up alongside the boys for the showdown on Wednesday night.
The former Tottenham Hotspur striker expressed certainty, the Three Lions will bask in “incredible support” both in the United States (US) and England.
“We will give everything we’ve got!” against The Fiery Ones, he said.
England have been performing well in previous tournaments, but, suffered heartbreaks too, they finished in the semi finals in the World Cup in Russia; suffered defeat in the final of the Euro 2020; and handed another defeat in the Euro 2024 final.
The Three Lions were defeated 3-2 in the Euro 2020 final by Italy right on home soil, Wembley Stadium, in a penalty shootout following a 1-1 draw; and in the Euro 2024, Spain downed England 2-1 in the final in Berlin, Germany.
Kane said: “Can’t wait to lead our team out at another World Cup! Excited to get on the pitch tomorrow with the boys! I know we’ll have incredible support out here and at home! We will give everything we’ve got!”
Thomas Tuchel’s England will be looking to kick off their World Cup 2026 campaign with a victory over Croatia. The German pro football manager arrived with a CV loaded with major honours; also, he has a reputation for finding solutions when the pressure is very intense.
