President Bola Ahmed Tinubu has sent his tribute to Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, on the occasion of his 85th birthday today, Saturday 6 June, 2026.
Pastor Kumuyi, Founder and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, was born on 6 June, 1941 in Erin-Odo Ijesha, Osun State, Nigeria.
The President sent his tribute Via a State House Press Release on Saturday 6 June, 2026.
President Tinubu said, the Pastor’s “voice brings hope to millions” all over the world, adding, his (Kumuyi’s) writings have “provided timeless guidance” to those who seek “truth and purpose”.
The State House Press Release signed by the President’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga, reads: “President Bola Ahmed Tinubu warmly rejoices with Pastor William Folorunso Kumuyi, a remarkable servant of God, a visionary founder, and General Superintendent of the Deeper Christian Life Ministry, as he clocks 85 on June 6, 2026.
“President Tinubu remarks that Pastor Kumuyi’s enduring legacy of unwavering faith, wisdom, and dedication has shaped a thriving ministry for over 50 years.
““As the convener of Global Crusade with Kumuyi (GCK), your voice has reached beyond the church walls and national borders, bringing hope and encouragement to millions across the world.
““Your writings have illuminated minds, inspired hearts, and provided timeless guidance to those seeking truth and purpose,” the President remarks.”
The President said, families have received restoration, and lives “transformed” through the “Ministry and influence” of Pastor Kumuyi; and prayed God’s “strength and abundant grace” for the Author of several Christian books and devotionals.
The Statement further reads: “President Tinubu notes that Pastor Kumuyi’s ministry and influence have also transformed lives, restored families, inspired leaders, and strengthened the faith of generations of believers.
““On this special day, I pray that Almighty God continues to grant you strength, divine health, peace, and abundant grace,” the President says.”
