‘Super proud’: Nnadozie’s Brighton reach FA Cup final for the first time

Nnadozie Chiamaka’s Brighton and Hove Albion Women have defeated Liverpool to reach the final of the Women’s FA Cup for the first time in their history.

Brighton produced a beautiful comeback against Liverpool to secure their ticket to Wembley in London.

Nadine Noordam, substitute, struck the winner in added time as Brighton scaled through to the Women’s FA Cup final by fighting back from two (2) goals down to emerge winner against Liverpool 3-2 in St. Helens.

Three-time Runners-up, Liverpool, were heading to the final with first-half goals from Denise O’Sullivan and Beata Olsson, however, Brighton levelled through Manuela Vanegas and Madison Haley.

Noordam, Dutch midfielder, netted the winner in the 5th minute of additional time to help Brighton through to the final. Brighton will face either Chelsea or Manchester City on Sunday 31 May, 2026 in the final at the National Stadium in Wembley.

In her post-victory reaction, Super Falcons of Nigeria goalkeeper, Nnadozie Chiamaka, wrote on X: “WE ARE GOING TO WEMBLEY . STRAIGHT INTO THE FA CUP FINALS . SUPER PROUD OF THESE TEAM

Brighton goalkeeper, Nnadozie, was forced into action in the closing stages of the encounter, making crucial saves to deny Liverpool twosome Aurelie Csillag and Cornelia Kapocs before Noordam struck home her first goal for the club. Noordam’s goal came just six (6) minutes after replacing Fran Kirby.
