Despite 3-2 victory on the road on Sunday 10 May, 2026 over Wikki Tourist in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 game, Rivers United remain second on the table behind Enugu Rangers.
The showdown which took place at ATBS Bauchi had the home side take the lead through Jonathan Mairiga in the 21st minute, but, Finidi George’s side levelled in the 35th minute through Handsome Surveyor.
Four (4) minutes after the break, Wikki Tourist went back in front through Imamu Bala; ten (10) minutes later, the Pride of Rivers levelled again, and late, in the 85th minute, Rivers United had the winner to return to Port Harcourt with all three (3) points.
On the other side, Enugu Rangers defeated Bendel Insurance 2-1 at the Nnamdi Azikiwe Stadium in Enugu to hold the top spot on the table.
After Matchday 37, Rivers United are second with sixty-four (64) points, trailing toppers, Enugu Rangers, who have sixty-five (65) points, while, Wikki Tourist are bottom, on the 20th spot, with forty (40) points.
