Liverpool made sure to put an end to a run of three (3) straight defeats with a 2-0 victory over Fulham in the Premier League match at Anfield on Saturday 11 April, 2026.
The outcome helped ease the pressure on the Reds Dutch head coach, Arne Slot, after three (3) consecutive defeats against Paris Saint-Germaine (PSG), 2-0 in the Uefa Champions League; Manchester City, 4-0 in the FA Cup quarter finals; and Brighton, 2-1 in the Premier League.
Rio Ngumoha emerged the youngest goalscorer for Liverpool after opening the scoring for the hosts in the 36th minute at the age of seventeen (17).
The English attacking midfielder converted Florian Wirtz’ assist to place Liverpool in front.
Mohamed Salah netted the second against the Cottagers to earn the Reds maximum points after Cody Gakpo had provided in the 40th minute. It was Salah’s second top flight goal since November.
Slot’s Liverpool will now be looking to overturn a two-goal deficit they suffered against PSG in the Uefa Champions League 2025/26 quarter final first leg in Paris when they face again in the second leg at Anfield on Tuesday 14 April, 2026.
Salah, who recorded twenty-nine (29) goals in the Premier League 2024/25, has just six (6) goals this season so far.
Fulham took control of the showdown after the break, Sasa Lukic’s goal was ruled out for offside and Rodrigo Muniz failed to convert a free header.
