The Spaniard said, “it’s disappointing not to win it because I thought we were the better team.”
The clash had Bukayo Saka and Merino score for Arsenal, while Virgil Van Dijk and Mohamed Salah score for Arne Slot’s Liverpool.
Saka’s goal for the Gunners was his 50th Premier League goal as a Gunner.
In his post-draw comments, Arteta said: “I think the performance overall with all the circumstances was very positive, a lot of great things to take, but it’s disappointing not to win it because I thought we were the better team.”
