Nigeria’s GDP ‘grew by 3.98% in Q3 2025’ – NBS

The National Bureau of Statistics (NBS) has announced, Nigeria’s Gross Domestic Product (GDP) “grew by 3.98% in Q3 2025”.

It further announced, “Agriculture grew by 3.79% in Q3 2025.”

NBS, the body responsible for “providing timely, credible, and relevant data to guide development planning and evidence-based policymaking in Nigeria”, posted on X: “Gross Domestic Product grew by 3.98% (YoY) in real terms in Q3 2025. This growth rate is higher than the 3.86% recorded in Q3 2024.

“Agriculture grew by 3.79% in Q3 2025, an improvement from 2.55% recorded Q3 2024.”

“Until we fix insecurity, stabilize food prices, support farmers, and make jobs accessible, these numbers remain statistics — not real progress.

The government must turn this 3.98% growth into growth that feeds families, not just reports.
