Dani Olmo score twice as Barcelona beat Deportivo Alaves 3-1

Spanish attacking midfielder, Dani Olmo, netted a brace to help Barcelona clinch a 3-1 comeback victory over Deportivo Alaves in the La Liga 2025/26 match on Saturday 29 November, 2025.

The encounter was Barcelona’s second match at the newly-opened Camp Nou.

It was the visitors that went in front with a shocking early goal, in the 1st minute of play, through midfielder, Pablo Ibanez, but, Hansi Flick’s Catalans quickly levelled in the 8th minute through Spanish right winger, Lamine Yamal.

Ibanez’ goal came from close range on his 100th appearance in the division; Yamal fired the ball into the top of the net from Polish striker, Robert Lewandowski’s ball across the box.

In the 26th minute, Olmo converted Raphinha’s cutback to place the hosts ahead by slotting the ball into the bottom corner.

The home side continued to search for more goals and found the third in the 3rd minute of additional time through Olmo after being assisted by Yamal.

The outcome means Barcelona are two points clear at the top of standings, however, rivals Real Madrid could return to the zenith if they discomfit Girona on Sunday 30 November, 2025 at 21:00 (WAT).
