Liverpool Egyptian forward, Mohamed Salah, has responded to a tweet about the changes in the Reds striking force by an X user.
The tweet is a comparison of the new signings made by Liverpool which includes Florian Wirtz from German Bundesliga side, Bayer Leverkusen; and Alexander Isak from Newcastle United; to former strikers Luis Diaz and Darwin Nunez.
While Luis Diaz has joined Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich, who are reigning German Kings, Darwin Nunez moved to Saudi Professional League outfit, Al Hilal.
X user (@AnfieldEdition) tweeted: “Name a bigger upgrade in footballing history.”
Salah quoted @AnfieldEdition ‘s tweet and commented: “How about we celebrate the great signings without disrespecting the PL champions?”
Nunez joined Al Hilal in 2025 and has featured only once for the Saudi Club with no goal; the Uruguayan striker played more than ninety (90) games for Liverpool in all competitions and hit the back of the net more than twenty (20) times.
Also, Diaz moved to Allianz Arena in 2025, and has played just two (2) games for the Bundesliga 2024/25 Champions and scored two (2) goals; the Colombia international fielded 103 times for Liverpool in all competitions and scored twenty-nine (29) goals.
Alexander Isak joined Liverpool in 2025, however, is yet to play his first for the Reds after completing signing on deadline day. The Swedish sharpshooter played eighty-six (86) games for the Magpies fro 2022 to 2025 and scored fifty-four (54) goals.
Wirtz joined Arne Slot’s Liverpool in 2025 and has already played three (3) games, but, yet to record his name on the score sheet for the Kings of England.
The Germany international played 140 games for Bayer Leverkusen, Bundesliga 2023/24 Champions under Manager Xabi Alonso, and scored thirty-five (35) goals for the Black and Reds.
