On Thursday 14 August, 2025, Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, led an on-site inspection of nine major projects in the Capital city, Uyo.

The projects include, Medical City, Elderly Citizens Centre, and CNG Bus Mega Station, among others.

At the Tropicana Complex, Eno ordered the demolition of illegal structures to clear the way for Ring Road 3 and keep the ARISE Agenda development vision alive.

The Governor assured, his government will deliver these projects to the “highest standards” and “without compromise”.

Governor Eno made known via X: “Yesterday, I led an on-site inspection of nine major projects in Uyo, from the Medical City, Elderly Citizens Centre, and CNG Bus Mega Station, to the Uyo Village Road dualisation, Judiciary Village, and the Tropicana Complex.

“At each site, I gave clear directives to speed up delivery under our ARISE Agenda. At the Tropicana Complex, I ordered the demolition of all illegal structures within 7 days to open up Ring Road 3 and keep our development vision on track.

“I also approved a 150-unit housing estate and a bridge linking Uyo Village Road Ravine to the ARISE Resort, which will ensure better housing and connectivity.

“We’re delivering these projects to the highest standards, on schedule, and without compromise. Akwa Ibom must keep moving forward.”
