Obama congratulated Donald Trump alongside Senator JD Vance “on their victory”.
2024 Presidential candidate of the Republican Party, Donald Trump defeated Kamala Harris, 2024 Presidential candidate of the Democratic Party, to become the President-Elect of the US.
Obama said, “this is obviously not the outcome we hoped for, given our profound disagreements with the Republican ticket on a whole lot of issues.”
