The governing All Progressives Congress (APC) has come out to clarify on the Chairmanship of the Party’s Rivers State Chapter.
The ‘Broom’ Party urged its members in the South-South State, as well as, the general public to disregard reports which say, Mr Emeka Beke is State Chairman of Rivers APC.
The Party described the reports as “false and misleading.”
This was announced via a Press Statement titled ‘Chief Tony Okocha is, and remains, the State Chairman of Rivers APC’, signed by Felix Morka, National Publicity Secretary, APC, on Saturday 2 August, 2025.
The Press Statement reads: “The attention of the All Progressives Congress (APC) has been drawn to media reports of a claim by Mr Emeka Beke to the Chairmanship of the Rivers State Chapter of our Party.
“We with to clarify, for the record, that Chief Tony Okocha is, and remains, the Chairman of the Rivers State Chapter of our Party.
“We urge our teeming members, and the general public, to disregard the said reports or reference to Mr Beke as State Chairman of Rivers APC as false and misleading.”
