Petrol Tanker Explosion In Jigawa: NEMA assesses incident at filling station

National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) assessed a petrol tanker explosion that occurred at a filling station in Jigawa State.

The explosion happened “while the tanker was offloading fuel into the station’s reservoir.”

The disaster management agency disclosed, “no casualties have been recorded.”

According to NEMA: “A team from the National Emergency Management Agency (NEMA) Kano Territorial Office (KTO) conducted an assessment following a petrol tanker explosion at a filling station in Jigawa State last night. The incident occurred while the tanker was offloading fuel into the station’s reservoir.


Swift intervention by firefighters from state and federal services, along with Dutse Airport Fire Service, successfully contained the blaze, preventing further escalation. No casualties have been recorded.”
