‘Don’t lock your talent down by signing a contract with someone because he promised to get you a club in Europe’ – Brown Ideye advises young players in Nigeria

Former Super Eagles of Nigeria striker, Brown Ideye, has come out to advise young players in Nigeria who have dreams of playing in Europe.

The Enyimba FC striker said, “don’t lock your talent down by signing a contract with someone because he promised to get you a club in Europe”, adding, “make sure your international passport is with you at all time”.

Brown Ideye who played for Nigeria alongside midfield maestro, John Obi Mikel, won the Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON) 2013; he has also played for numerous clubs across European including, West Bromwich Albion, Olympiacos, Malaga, Sochaux among others.

The former Göztepe player advised: “This is for all the young players in Nigeria, don’t lock your talent down by signing a contract with someone because he promised to get you a club in Europe. And make sure your international passport is with you at all time, because no one have the right to hold someone else’s passport.”
