Edo State: Governor Okpebholo approve ’13th month’ salary for State workers, automatic employment for first class graduates

It was a moment of jubilation for civil and public servants in the State, as the State Governor, Sen. Monday Okpebholo approved the payment of 13th-month salary to Edo workers, while further affirming the policy of automatic employment for First Class graduates of Edo

extraction from any university within the country and beyond, rekindling hopes among Edo youths, and creating the enabling environment for them to shine in the public space.

This was made known via the press statement released by the Chief Press Secretary to the

Edo State Governor, Fred Itua, on Friday 29 th of November, 2024, in Government House

Benin City.

In his release, the intentions of the Governor were brought to light through the Head of

Service, Dr. Anthony Okungbowa, who made known the unwavering commitment of the

Governor to improving workers’ welfare in the State, while also noting the Governor’s

unfeigned determination to extract the best brains into the State’s workforce, positioning Edo
