Marcus Thuram and Denzel Dumfries placed Simone Inzaghi’s Nerazzurri two (2) goals ahead in the 1st and 21st minutes respectively before Hansi Flick’s Catalans fought back and levelled through Lamine Yamal and Ferran Torres in the 24th and 38th minutes respectively.
Dumfries then made it three in the 64th minute for the visitors, however, were not able to hold on as Barca pressed really hard and forced goalkeeper Yann Sommer to hit the back of his own net and gift the hosts their leveller in the 65th minute
Both clubs can take pride in their performance after an intense and captivating match. The game kept fans on the edge of their seats with back-and-forth action. Spectators were treated to a showcase of top-tier football skills.
