‘What a lot of us Africans call marriage is often b*ndage or sl*very’ – Reno Omokri

According to Reno Omokri: “In a few weeks, we will be in 2025 if God spares our life. If you are a single Black African male, consider travelling before you marry. Because many sub-Saharan men have not experienced genuine love other than maternal love.

“And because of this, many of us think love must be monetised. Too often, it is when you travel outside your country that you first begin to experience another level of love. What a lot of us Africans call marriage is often bondage or slavery to high-maintenance and high-body count women, who also come with entitled in-laws.

“Save yourself a lifetime of stress and visit other countries before visiting the altar. Marital purity and sanity may be more of a possibility if you travel.”
