Governor of Rivers State, Siminalayi Fubara, said, one of his government’s “cardinal goals is the security of lives and property, especially in protecting critical national assets both in our State and in the Niger Delta region.”
Fubara made the statement as he “presented to the Nigerian Air Force the Rivers State owned AW139 Helicopter to bolster their operations in protecting critical national assets.”
The Governor added, “the helicopter will assist the @NigeriaAirforce in its surveillance to mitigate the issues of oil theft & criminal activities.”

According to Governor Fubara: “One of our cardinal goals as a government is the security of lives and property, especially in protecting critical national assets both in our State and in the Niger Delta region. To truly demonstrate our deep commitment to that goal, we presented to the Nigerian Air Force the Rivers State owned AW139 Helicopter to bolster their operations in protecting critical national assets. We took this step believing that it will aid our desire for improved oil production in our State and in the Niger Delta region. This is because the helicopter will assist the @NigeriaAirforce in its surveillance to mitigate the issues of oil theft & criminal activities.”
