Minister of Information, Mohammed Idris, has laid to rest his mother-in-law, Hajia Hauwa Yakub Usman, at the Gudu Cemetery, Abuja.
Idris expressed his gratitude to everyone who attended the funeral as well as to all who have sent condolence messages.
The Minister wrote: “I would like to express my deep gratitude on the outpouring of sympathy and support following the passing of my mother-in-law, Hajia Hauwa Yakub Usman.She was laid to rest yesterday afternoon at Gudu Cemetery, Abuja, after funeral prayers at the National Mosque.
“I thank everyone who attended the funeral, including the National Security Adviser, the Minister of Budget and Economic Planning, staff of the Federal Ministry of Information and National Orientation, heads of various government agencies, including the Federal Radio Corporation of Nigeria (FRCN), Voice of Nigeria (VON), Nigerian Television Authority (NTA), Advertising Regulatory Council Of Nigeria (ARCON), and many others.
“My gratitude also to all who have sent condolence messages. My family and I are deeply grateful. May Almighty Allah accept her soul and grant her Jannatul Firdaus.”
