Uefa Champions League 2022/23: Maccabi Haifa 1-3 PSG – Les Parisiens comeback to clinch win in Israel

French club Paris Saint-Germain (PSG) fought back to survive a scare as they fell behind to Israeli club Maccabi Haifa before their big three found the back of the net to hand them victory.

Les Parisiens defeated their hosts 3-1 at the Sammy Ofer Stadium, Haifa, Israel on Wednesday, 14 September 2022.
PSG’s defence looked porous and it allowed their hosts to squeeze out a space to take the beautiful lead in the 24th minute through attacking midfielder Tjaronn Chery.

The Israeli side enjoyed their lead for just eight minutes, and Lionel Messi perfectly converted Kylian Mbappe’s assist to level for PSG.

Mbappe made it two for the visitors in the 69th minute after racing onto Messi’s through pass.

Italian side Juventus lost 1-2 inside the Allianz Stadium, Turin to Portuguese side Benfica despite taking an early lead in the 4th minute through Arkadiusz Milik.

JoΓ£o MΓ‘rio equalized for Benfica in the 43rd minute and David Neres made it two for the visitors in the 55th minute.
