Mbappe ranks top of list of World Cup 2026 goalscorers

Kylian Mbappe is currently sitting at the top of the list of FIFA World Cup 2026 goalscorers.

Real Madrid midfielder, Jude Bellingham, entered the race for the World Cup 2026 Golden Boot after netting a stunning brace in the quarter finals match against Norway to help England reach the semi finals.

Mbappe, who also plays for Real Madrid, and Argentina’s Lionel Messi both lead at the top with eight (8) World Cup goals this summer. Erling Haaland, whose Norway are ousted from the tournament, follows with seven (7) goals.

These players are carving their niches in the World’s biggest football tournament, the 2026 Edition, which is being hosted in the United States (US), Canada and Mexico.

Messi’s hat-trick against Algeria in their Group J opener helped his ranking on the list as he fights for the World Cup 2026 Golden Boot, however, the Inter Miami forward was unable to add to his tally when the White and Sky Blue fielded against Switzerland on Sunday.

In the World Cup all-time top goalscorers, Messi tops with twenty-one (21) goals, while, Mbappe trails with twenty (20) goals.
