The National Working Committee (NWC) of the Labour Party (LP) has handed Alex Otti, Executive Governor of Abia State, a free nomination form.
The Governor made this known via X on Friday 8 May, 2026 as he expressed “great honour” when the form was presented to him by Senator Nenadi Usman, National Chairman of the Party at the Abia State Governor’s Lodge in Asokoro, Abuja.
In his gratitude, Otti thanked the Party’s National Chairman, National Secretary Hon. Obioma Iheanacho, as well as, all members of the NWC for the honour. He said, “I assure you that I do not take this gesture lightly”.
The Governor made a “pledge never to disappoint” the ‘Papa, Mama and Pikin’ Party, and assured to always support the Party in every possible way.
Otti extolled Senator Usman for her Leadership and helping the Party “out of the protracted crisis that once plagued it.” He expressed confidence that “the coast is clear for the Labour Party to move forward into the next general elections, as all legal impediments have been effectively resolved, with no subsisting litigation against our party”
Otti, who has been serving as Governor of Abia State since May 2023, thanked the people of Abia State for their “support and faith” from where he draws inspiration everyday “to deliver quality governance and remain steadfast in service”.
