Bayern Munich ended their historic 2025/26 season by welcoming Cologne in Munich on Matchday 34. Manager Vincent Kompany made six (6) changes to the starting eleven (XI), bringing back Manuel Neuer, Dayot Upamecano, Jonathan Tah, Konrad Laimer, Lennart Karl and Luis DÃaz.
The game also marked the final home appearance for departing three, Leon Goretzka, Raphaël Guerreiro and Nicolas Jackson, who received an inspiring send-off from the fans before the match started.
Bayern Munich netted first in the 10th minute after kane converted Joshua Kimmich’s assist, and, the England forward quickly made it two (2) just three (3) minutes later with an assist from Kimmich again.
The visitors squeezed out a goal in the 18th minute through Saïd El Mala, who dispossessed Jamal Musiala in midfied. Mala manoeuvred through four (4) Bayern Munich defenders before finishing calmly, leaving Neuer with no chance.
But, in the 22nd minute, the hosts netted the third through Tom Bischof after Lennart Karl had provided to restore Bayern’s two-goal lead.
The home side continued to mount pressure and in the 69th minute, Kane completed his hat-trick and the fourth for Bayern with Leon Goretzka’s assist. The German midfielder drove forward before releasing for Kane.
Senegalese striker, Nicolas Jackson, who replaced Goretzka in the 83rd minute, sealed the victory with the fifth for Bayern immediately following great work from Luis Diaz.
Kane was the unchallenged man of the game following his outstanding performance for Bayern Munich. The English forward, who finished as Bundesliga’s top scorer once again with thirty-six (36) goals, helped Bayern Munich reach 120 goals this season.
