Zelenskky wants Ukraine to be a part of EU

Volodymyr Zelenskky, President of Ukraine, has said, his country wants to be in the European Union.

He said on X, if the representatives of the EU do not make “mistakes”, then, Ukraine will definitely join the Union.

The Ukrainian President believes his country is already helping the EU become stronger especially in the area of security, which has become a “top priority” of all.

President Zelenskky said: “We want to be in the European Union. And I am confident that if some representatives of the EU do not make mistakes, we will be there. We are already strengthening the EU, first and foremost from a security perspective. And today, security is a priority for everyone.”

He also said, the EU can become “stronger” if Ukraine, Norway, United Kingdom (UK) and Türkiye join. With these four (4) countries, the EU will become the “strongest” Union in the world.

President Zelenskky said: “A union that could be much stronger – I believe this would be a union of such countries as Norway, Ukraine, the United Kingdom, and Türkiye. These are four countries that the European Union is lacking.

“I know that the United Kingdom has left the European Union. But I still believe that these four countries would make the EU the strongest union in the world, with the best security in the world.”

The European Union (EU):

The European Union (EU) is an economic and political alliance that consists of twenty-seven (27) member states. The Union was established for the promotion of peace and economic integration.

The EU has a population of over 440 million and most members use the Euro and are part of the passport-free Schengen Area.
