The International Centre for Investigative Reporting (ICIR) has shared the ‘Revenue Performances of DisCos 2024 vs 2025’.
According to the report, Ikeja Electric, Power Distribution Company based in Lagos, ranked top with huge revenue increase.
ICIR said, the Power Sector in Nigeria recorded a “significant surge” in revenue between 2024 and 2025 as DisCos had substantial growth year-on-year.
While Ikeja Electric holds the number one spot with a revenue of “₦440.86bn” in 2025, Yola DisCo recorded the highest increase at “69%”.
According to ICIR: “Nigeria’s power sector recorded a significant surge in revenue between 2024 and 2025, as Distribution Companies (DisCos) saw substantial year-on-year growth.
“An analysis by The ICIR reveals that while Ikeja Electric maintained the lead with a revenue of ₦440.86bn, Yola DisCo recorded the highest percentage increase at 69%, signaling a massive shift in collection efficiency across the regions.”
