Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich are definitely eyeing multiple trophies this campaign after the Bavarians progressed to the final of the DFB Cup 2025/26 with a beautiful victory over Bayer Leverkusen on Wednesday night.
In the semi final showdown on Wednesday 22 April, 2026, Bayern Munich defeated Bayer Leverkusen 2-0 at BayArena to clinch a spot in tne final of the DFB Cup.
Bayern Munich now have the Bundesliga 2025/26 title in the bag; are semi finalists in the Uefa Champions League 2025/26 and finalists in the DFB Cup.
The German Kings, who were the dominant side in the contest, took the lead in the 22nd minute through Harry Kane with an assist from Jamal Musiala; and Leon Goretzka provided for Luis Diaz, who sealed it up for the visitors, in the 3rd minute of additional time.
Bayer Leverkusen never really posed a threat to the Bavarians.
Now, Bayern Munich are in the DFB Cup final for the first time since the 2019/2020 campaign under Hansi Flick, where the Bavarians carted home a 4-2 triumph over the Black and Reds.
DÃaz almost placed Bayern Munich in front 1-0 in the 16th minute, but Bayer Leverkusen goalkeeper Mark Flekken made a big save in diving to his left.
A minute later, Flakken stopped Kane as the Dutch goalie was very alert all through the clash.
