England international, Harry Kane, netted twice to help Bayern Munich breeze through Werder Bremen in the Bundesliga 2025/26 match on Saturday 14 February, 2026 at Weserstadion in Bremen.
Vincent Kompany’s Bavarians headed into the showdown with all confidence as they sit tightly at the summit of the table; the visitors took the lead in the 22nd minute when Kane stepped forward to score from the penalty spot.
The England forward then completed his brace and second for Bayern Munich in the 25th minute after converting an assist from Luis Diaz; the goal squashed any hope of a comeback from the home side.
The reigning Kings of Germany finished the first 45 minutes with two (2) goals in front.
And, returning to action after the break, German central midfielder, Leon Goretzka, sealed the victory for Bayern Munich in the 70th minute with an assist from defender, Alphonso Davies.
Kane’s brace made it his 500th goal in his beautiful career as Bayern extended congratulatory greetings to the former Tottenham Hotspur player.
Bavarians goalkeeper, Manuel Neuer, was unable to continue with Bayern after picking up “slight calf problems” which forced him to remain in the dressing room.
The German goalie was replaced by his compatriot Jonas Kurt Urbig in the second half.

With this result, Bayern Munich remain at the top of the table with fifty-seven (57) points, trailed by Borussia Dortmund with fifty-one (51) points, while, Werder Bremen are 16th in the relegation zone with nineteen (19) points; all after twenty-two (22) games.
An update on Neuer’s injury from Bayern Munich reads: “Manuel Neuer stays in the dressing room due to slight calf problems. Jonas Urbig comes into the match in his place.”

Bayern Munich will face Eintracht Frankfurt in the Bundesliga match at Allianz Arena on Saturday 21 February, 2026 at 15:30 (WAT), while, Werder Bremen face St. Pauli on Sunday 22 February, 2026 at 17:30 (WAT).
Harry Kane hits 500 career goals
Harry Kane, 32 years of age, recorded his 500th career goal in the game at Weserstadion against Werder Bremen after 743 matches for club and country.
100 of those goals are penalty kicks.
The Englishman has now netted a whopping forty-one (41) goals for Bayern Munich in the 2025/26 season, encompassing twenty-six (26) in the German top flight. The win on Saturday afternoon has moved the defending champions six (6) points clear of Dortmund, who made light work of Mainz 05 4-0 on Friday night.
Kane is Bundesliga 2025/26 top scorer with twenty-six (26) goals so far, followed by teammate, Luis Diaz, with thirteen (13), and Deniz Undav of VfB Stuttgart third with eleven (11); Bayern attacking midfielder, Michael Olise, is fifth with ten (10) goals.
