Bayern Munich, Bundesliga 2025/26 toppers, netted two (2) goals in stoppage time to come from the back to defeat St. Pauli 3-1 in the match at Allianz Arena on Saturday 29 November, 2025.
Forward, Andreas Hountondji, on loan from Premier League side, Burnley, scored for St. Pauli early, in the 6th minute, after the home side gave the ball away several times.
17-year old German attacking midfielder, Lennart Karl, and Tom Bischof both hit the woodwork as the Bavarians hustled for an equaliser.
Vincent Kompany’s men got the leveller very late in the first half, in the 44th minute, through defender, Raphael Guerreiro, who flicked the ball on with his heel to score.
In the second half, forward, Harry Kane, came close to scoring after smashing an effort off the post.
The German Kings continued to mount pressure on their visitors in search of goals, but, St. Pauli held tight until the 3rd minute of additional time when Luis Diaz converted Joshua Kimmich’s assist to find the second, and Nicolas Jackson, Chelsea loanee, sealed the win for Bayern in the 6th minute of additional time.
Bayern Munich have now emerged victorious in eleven (11) and drawn one (1) of their top flight games this season.
The 3-1 loss to Arsenal in the Uefa Champions League 2025/26 match remains Bayern Munich’s only defeat so far this season.
