Niger Tornadoes beat Remo Stars 1-0 in Minna

Niger Tornadoes’ early goal was all the Minna-based club needed to scale through defending champions, Remo Stars, in the Nigeria Premier Football League (NPFL) 2025/26 match on Saturday 29 November, 2025 at Bako Kontagora Stadium, Minna, Niger State.

C. Jephta converted for Niger Tornadoes in the 2nd minute, and the hosts held on until the end to earn maximum points.

With this outcome, Niger Tornadoes sit on the third spot for now with twenty-three (23) points while Remo Stars, who won the NPFL 2024/25, are eleventh with nineteen (19) points.

On the other side, Bendel Insurance defeated Wikki Tourists, who gained promotion from the Nigeria National League (NNL), 3-0 at Samuel Ogbemudia Stadium in Benin City, Edo State.
