First Lady Senator Oluremi Tinubu will inaugurate the Lagos Industrial Leather Hub in Matori, Mushin , “the largest of its kind in West Africa”, on Saturday.
Executive Governor of Lagos State, Babajide Sanwo-Olu, made the announcement on Friday as he received the First Lady on her first official visit to Lagos.
The First Lady is also expected to present empowerment items to more than a thousand women in the State.
Sanwo-Olu called on citizens and residents of Lagos to welcome Her Excellency “warmly, and said, her visit means a “deep” commitment to the welfare of women and children.
Governor Sanwo-Olu announced on X: “It was a pleasure to receive and welcome the First Lady of the Federal Republic of Nigeria, Senator Oluremi Tinubu, CON, on her first official visit to Lagos.
“Tomorrow, at the State House in Alausa, Ikeja, she will present empowerment items to over a thousand women. She will also inaugurate the Lagos Industrial Leather Hub in Matori, Mushin, the largest of its kind in West Africa.
“I call on all Lagosians to receive Her Excellency warmly, in the true spirit of hospitality for which we are known. Her initiatives bring hope and practical support to those who need them most, and I am proud that Lagos is the setting for this important work.
