VP Shettima meets OSC Secretary General in Addis Ababa

Nigeria’s Vice President, Kashim Shettima, meets Organization of Southern Cooperation (OSC) Secretary General, H.E. Monssour Bin Mussallam, in Addis Ababa, Ethiopia on Monday.

The meeting with the OSC Sec Gen is part of the activities of the VP as he attends the United Nations (UN) Food Systems Summit in the Ethiopian Capital – a three-day event, which kicked off on Sunday 27 July, and will conclude on Tuesday 29 July, 2025.

Shettima departed Abuja for Addis Ababa on Sunday 27 July, 2025 for the UN Summit.

“In yet another high-level engagement, Vice President Kashim Shettima has met with the Secretary General of the Organization of Southern Cooperation (OSC), H.E. Monssour Bin Mussallam, and members of his team in Addis Ababa.

“Discussions focused on deepening collaboration in key areas including technology, education, creative industries, and leadership skills transfer.

“Nigeria is set to host the next African South-South Technology Summit as part of the country’s commitment to advancing innovation and regional cooperation.”
