Uefa Nations League 2024/25: Portugal 2(5)-(3)2 Spain – Fan passes away at Allianz Arena

During the Uefa Nations League final on Sunday, a fan passed away at the venue of the clash, Allianz Arena.

In the final of the Uefa Nations League, Portugal lifted the trophy after beating Spain five (5) goals to three (3) on Sunday 8 June, 2025 in a penalty shootout following a 2-2 draw at Allianz Arena in Munich, Germany.

Saudi Professional League club, Al Nassr, forward, Cristiano Ronaldo, scored the leveller for Portugal after Spain were leading 2-1, before playing out the extra time and then to penalties.

The achievement emerged Portugal’s second Uefa Nations League trophy, making the team the most successful in the history of the competition.

On the other other side, Spanish La Liga club, Real Madrid, forward, Kylian Mbappe, guided France to a 2-0 triumph over host nation, Germany, to clinch third place.

Bayern Munich, owners of the venue for the Uefa Nations League final, Allianz Arena, expressed their “thoughts” to the family, relatives and friends of the fan who passed sadly during the showdown.

Vincent Kompany’s Bayern Munich are gearing up for the FIFA Club World Cup 2025 which is scheduled to take place in the United States (US) from June 14 to July 13, 2025.

The Bavarians will lock horns with Auckland City in their first showdown of the competition on Sunday 15 June, 2025 at 17:00 (WAT).

The FIFA Club World Cup 2025 will be hosted across more than ten (10) Stadia in America.

In its condolence, Bayern Munich wrote on social media: “Yesterday, a fan sadly passed away after an accident during the UEFA Nations League final at the Allianz Arena.

“FC Bayern’s thoughts are with the person’s family, relatives and friends.

“Rest in peace.”

Bayern Munich are the current Kings of Germany after emerging Champions of Bundesliga 2024/25.

The Bavarians reclaimed the crown after being held by Bayer Leverkusen who were led to glory by former manager, Xabi Alonso, winning the Bundesliga 2023/24.

Spanish manager, Xabi Alonso, who parted ways with the Black and Reds following the conclusion of the 2024/25 season, has now been appointed manager of Spanish La Liga club, Real Madrid.

Alonso is taking over managerial duties after Italian manager, Carlo Ancelotti, left the Santiago Bernabeu, leaving the Los Blancos without a trophy in the 2024/25 season.

Amcelotti has now been appointed head coach of the Brazil Senior National Football Team.
