‘Nigerians are paid $120 monthly wages while Koreans are paid $7k’ – Senator Sani

Senayor Shehu Sani has lamented over the poor monthly wages paid Nigerians who work in the country’s Petroleum and Gas compared to what is paid Koreans.

The Senator cried out, “Nigeria’s petroleum and Gas wealth must not be controlled or dominated by foreigners.”

He said, while Nigerian citizens are paid “$120 monthly wages”, Koreans are paid “$7k for two same job”, adding, this is “unacceptable”.

Sani said, the “issues” put forth by the National Association of Plant Operators (NAPO) must be attended to.

He also said, the government must ensure the “$10Billion” Nigeria Liquefied Natural Gas (NLNG) Train 7 project benefit Nigerian citizens first.

Senator Shehu Sani wrote on his official X account: “Nigeria’s petroleum and Gas wealth must not be controlled or dominated by foreigners.

“Its unacceptable for our citizens to be paid $120 monthly wages while Koreans are reportedly paid $7k for the same job.

“The issues raised by the National Association of Plant Operators NAPO,must be addressed. The $10Billion NLNG Train 7 project should first be beneficial to Nigerians.”
