FIFA Club World Cup 2025: Fluminense 0-0 Dortmund – Bellingham makes debut for Black and Yellow

English midfielder, Jobe Bellingham, came in as a substitute to make his debut for German Bundesliga club, Borussia Dortmund, in their goalless opener of the FIFA Club World Cup against Brazilian club, Fluminense, in New Jersey on Tuesday 17 June, 2025.

The 19-year old England Under-21 followed in the path of older brother Jude Belligham, who fields for Real Madrid, whose last appearance during a three-year spell with Dortmund was in May 2023.

Jobe Bellingham was unable to help the Black and Yellow to triumph at the MetLife Stadium on Tuesday night.

Bellingham, a new addition from Sunderland, was fielding for Dortmund twenty-four (24) days after helping the Black Cats gain promotion to the English top tier, Premier League, by defeating Sheffield United in the Championship play-off final at Wembley Stadium.

Runners-up o English side, Manchester City, in the 2023 Edition, Fluminense, included 44-year-old goalkeeper Fabio in their starting line-up.

Carney Chukwuemeka, a loanee from Chelsea, came in late as substitute for the German side.
