Executive Governor of Akwa Ibom State, Umo Eno, announced, he has commissioned the “revamped and rebranded” Ibom Paint which is situated at Etinan Local Government Area.
The Governor said, he is “confident” that, the company which has suffered setbacks over the years “should only anticipate an expansion in the near future” following the new management approach.
Governor Eno said: “Earlier this week, it was fulfilling to commission the revamped and rebranded Ibom Paint located at Etinan Local Government Area.
“Although the company has suffered repeated set backs over the years, I am however confident that given the new management approach, we should only anticipate an expansion in the near future.”
Eno said, the numerous projects all over the State will help provide a “ready market” for the brand as he called on all project handlers in the South-South State to patronise it.
Governor Eno said: “Our numerous projects across the State will provide a ready market for the brand, so I call on all project handlers in the State to patronise it.
“I commend the MD of AKICORP, Pastor ImoAbasi Jacob and his team for interpreting the dream of revamping the company and for the new management approach to ensure return on investment.”
Governor Umo Eno, formerly under the People’s Democratic Party (PDP), has defected to the ruling All Progressives Congress (APC).
Umo’s defection to the ‘Broom’ Party was officially announced, by the APC on Friday 6 June, 2025.
The Party also made known Akwa Ibom is now officially an APC State.
Telling Akwaibomites why he made the decision to join the governing Party, Governor Eno said, it was propelled by “enlightened State interest”, adding, the move will help his administration align with the Federal Government.
Umo pleaded with the people of Akwa Ibom State to move forward with him, continue to have faith in his government, as well as, not lose hope for a brighter future.
