Bayelsa State: Governor Diri signs MoU with Dangote ‘for rewarding economic partnership in different business areas’

Governor of Bayelsa State, Duoye Diri, announced he received “Africa’s Richest man”, Founder and President/Chief Executive of Dangote Group, Alhaji Aliko Dangote, GCON, for a business visit that will benefit the Bayelsa State Government and his organisation.

Diri disclosed, his government signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dangote Group “for a rewarding economic partnership in different business areas.”

He expressed gratitude to Dangote for the business visit, saying, his Government of Assured Prosperity is committed to making huge strides in different sectors, including, “agriculture, oil and gas, power generation, sports, education, the blue economy”.

Governor Diri said: “Thank You Aliko Dangote For The Business Visit!

“I received Africa’s richest man, Alhaji (Dr.) Aliko Dangote, GCON, Founder and President/Chief Executive of Dangote Group, in Government House, Yenagoa, for a business visit that will benefit the Bayelsa State Government and his organisation.

“In furtherance of the investment drive of the Prosperity Administration, we have signed a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with Dangote Group for a rewarding economic partnership in different business areas.

“Our government of Assured Prosperity is committed to making significant strides in agriculture, oil and gas, power generation, sports, education, the blue economy, other infrastructures and sustainable progress.”

Diri expressed excitement at the “interest” shown by the Nigerian businessman to join the South-South State “in harnessing the various natural resources to build new business opportunities that will stir economic activities to create new jobs”.

Expressing gratitude to Dangote, Governor Diri said: “I am excited at the interest shown by Alhaji Dangote, to join us in harnessing the various natural resources to build new business opportunities that will stir economic activities to create new jobs.

“Let me appreciate the business mogul, Dr. Dangote, for his kind words on my leadership in the State and our remarkable achievements in office after just five years. Thank you!

“We are eager to embark on this transformative journey together.”
