According to Ford: “Ontario is launching Operation Deterrence, our plan to crack down on illegal cross-border activity and protect communities on both sides of the border. Operation Deterrence includes a team of 200 officers that will work alongside frontline and speciality officers focused on detecting, disrupting and deterring illegal border activity using fixed wing aircraft, helicopters, drones, boats, off-road vehicles and foot patrol.
