Armed Forces Remembrance Day 2025: ‘It is our duty to ensure that their sacrifices are not in vain’ – Makinde

Governor of Oyo State, Seyi Makinde, said, “It is our duty to ensure that their sacrifices are not in vain and that we take care of those who they left behind.”

Makinde made the statement at the launch of the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem.

The Governor “pledged the sum of N25 million towards this year’s emblem launch on behalf of the government and people of Oyo State.”

Governor Makinde said, “We launched the Armed Forces Remembrance Day Emblem. This significant event reminds us of the sacrifices made by our military, some of whom paid the ultimate price. It is our duty to ensure that their sacrifices are not in vain and that we take care of those who they left behind.


In my remarks, I restated our administration’s commitment to supporting the Nigerian Legion. I also pledged the sum of N25 million towards this year’s emblem launch on behalf of the government and people of Oyo State.”
