Bayern Munich manager, Vincent Kompany, has described the Uefa Champions League 2024/24 League Phase match against Dinamo Zagreb as “difficult”.
The Belgian made the statement at his press conference ahead of the match on Tuesday.
Bayern Munich will slug it out with Dinamo Zagreb in the UCL 2024/25 League Phase match at Allainz Arena on Tuesday 17 September, 2024 at 20:00 (WAT).
At his press conference, Kompany said:
On the appeal of the final in Munich
“The dream is there for the fans, they have the right to dream too. The main thing for me is that we show up on the pitch. We have a difficult game tomorrow. It’s important that we play well and win tomorrow. We hope that the fans can keep dreaming throughout the season.”
On the approach to tomorrow’s match
“I can’t make too much of a difference between each game. There can’t be any difference against Zagreb or Barcelona. We want to achieve our goals in every game and get the points. We know the strengths and weaknesses of the opponent, that’s our priority.”
On the attitude towards matches
“At this club, it’s always about being dominant yourself. It’s nothing new to think about your opponent. You also want to exploit their weaknesses and be prepared for their strengths.”
