The Ukrainian President further disclosed, “We also expect meetings with both presidential candidates.”
He thanked the US for the support “provided to help us withstand this war.”
The “war” between Russia and Ukraine started after Russia invaded Ukraine in February, 2022.
According to President Zelenskyy: “We are actively preparing for negotiations in the US, which will include meetings with President Biden and representatives from both parties in Congress. We also expect meetings with both presidential candidates.
Ukraine will always be grateful to the United States for supporting our independence—for all the assistance provided to help us withstand this war. Now, we are ready to present a concrete plan—not just for Ukraine to endure, not just to maintain our resistance at the current level, but to strengthen ourselves right now. To strengthen in such a way that brings a just peace closer, that brings victory closer.
Ukraine counts on this support. And it’s fair. Because when one nation wins the battle for its independence and for the rule of international law, the whole world wins. That’s how it should be.
I am grateful to everyone who stands with Ukraine.”
