Nigeria head coach, Jose Peseiro, has congratulated the Super Eagles, describing them as “extraordinary” following their qualification into the semi finals of the 2023 CAF Africa Cup Of Nations (AFCON).

To reach the semi finals, Nigeria defeated Angola by a lone goal thanks to Ademola Lookman’s strike.
Lookman, Atalanta BC forward, netted Nigeria’s goal in the 41st minute after perfectly converting a cross from Moses Simon.
Nigeria will face South Africa in the semi finals on Wednesday 7 February, 2024 at 18:00 (WAT).
The Portuguese manager said, “we keep our feet on the ground, stay focused”, and is ready and willing to guide the Super Eagles “to conquer our place in the final”.
Jose Peseiro said: “Our players were once again extraordinary. Many congratulations. We are in the semi-finals. Keep our feet on the ground, stay focused to conquer our place in the final.”
