Israel Defense Forces (IDF) has come out to clarify that, Israel is “at war with Hamas, not the people of Gaza”.

Also, IDF made known that, “Hamas is forcefully preventing their citizens from relocating to safety”.
Israel had earlier warned the people of Gaza to evacuate the area to their safety following retaliatory airstrikes from Israel forces.
Israel is fighting Hamas to “defend and protect” itself following a surprise attack by Hamas in the morning of Saturday 7 October, 2023.
IDF said: “This is real.
“Hamas is forcefully preventing their civilians from relocating to southern Gaza for their own safety.
“The world needs to know: we are at war with Hamas, NOT the people of Gaza.”
