‘Great Covenants’ simply means those types of covenants that are Biblical i.e Biblical Covenants. Please, do not misunderstand this to mean any type of covenant.

Here, I will be sharing with us some servants of God who actually entered into covenants with God, as well as blessings for being loyal to God’s covenants.

The Introduction to Biblical Loyalty Part 1 – this is explanation of what ‘Biblical Loyalty’ is all about and the characteristics. This will help you grasp what is involved in being loyal to the Almighty God – the creator of heaven and earth. Joshua 24:15 says “…but as for me and my house, we will serve the Lord”.

It takes one making a personal and unconditional choice to be loyal to the King of Kings. Are you ready? Make sure you are sincere with your answer.

Memory Verse: Psalm 25:10“All the paths of the Lord are mercy and truth unto such as keep His covenant and His testimony”.

The memory verse tells us how the Lord deals with people who are humbly and sincerely loyal to Him, which is characterized by endless care and faithfulness.

David, in his own life, had experiences with the Lord’s love and faithfulness. God had shielded David severally when he faced impending danger. He had witnessed the protection of God even when he was a shepherd boy from a bear and a lion. 1 Samuel 17:34-35 says “And David said unto Saul, Thy servant kept his father’s sheep, and there came a lion, and a bear, and took a lamb out of the flock. And I went out after him, and smote him, and delivered it out of his mouth: and when he arose against me, I caught him by his beard, and smote him, and slew him.”

Subsequently, in love and faithfulness, the Lord had handed David a beautiful triumph over Goliath. Read 1 Samuel 17:49-51. Also, the Lord kept him protected when Saul attempted to kill him. Read 1 Samuel 18:11.

Texts: Genesis 9:15, 17:12; Deuteronomy 5:1; Acts 3:25; Hebrews 8:6.

Introduction

Our focus is in those covenants that are Biblical.

So, Biblical Covenant is an association between God and humans, with Jesus Christ as the mediator. 1 Timothy 2:5-6 says “For there is one God, and one mediator between God and men, the man Christ Jesus; Who gave himself a ransom for all, to be testified in due time.”

Loyalty can be referred to mean the addition of our complete commitment to God as a result of the covenant we have with Him. Matthew 6:24 says “No man can serve two masters: for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. Ye cannot serve God and mammon.” On the other hand, Loyalty can as well be referred to as the faithfulness of God towards the covenant He made with us.

Even when we are faced with challenges, it calls for our truthfulness and faithfulness to the Almighty God. Loyalty is based on trust.
