The investigation into the Jeju Air plane crash which happened on Sunday 29 December, 2024 intensified on Tuesday as authorities came under pressure to explain how the plane lost control and identification of victims.

The plane crash happened at the Muan International Airport, Muan, South Korea, killing 179 people with only two (2) survivors; a total of 181 people were onboard.
Families of those that died – 175 passengers and 4 flight crew members – are still at the Muan International Airport, the scene of the unfortunate incident, which is tagged, the deadliest plane crash in South Korean soil, to demand for constant updates from authorities.
The National Police Agency said, it has enlisted more officials and would employ rapid DNA analysers to quicken the identification of five (5) bodies.
All of the other victims have been identified, however, most remain at the temporary morgue situated at the airport.
It still remains unknown the exact cause of the crash.
