Striker, Karim Benzema’s opener in the 31st minute placed Real Madrid in front. The visitors drew level through substitute Raul de Tomas in the 84th minute.
It was Real Madrid’s first game since Brazilian winger, Vinicius Junior suffered racist abuse from Valencia fans.
The Brazil international had his three-match red card ban overturned by La Liga, however, Los Blancos head coach, Carlo Ancelotti went ahead to leave him out of the matchday squad as a result of what was reported to be a minor knee injury.
