Bayern win Bundesliga 2022/23: Jan-Christian Dreesen new CEO – Kahn and Salihamidzic dismissed

This is coming on Saturday 27 May, 2023 after Bayern Munich clinched its eleventh (11th) Bundesliga title.

Bayern Munich discomfited FC Koln in the Bundesliga match at Cologne 2-1 to emerge Champions of the Bundesliga 2022/23.

The Bavarians are winners of the Bundesliga for the eleventh time – 2013, 2014, 2015, 2016, 2017, 2018, 2019, 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023.

According to fcbayern.com, Oliver Kahn has been relieved of his CEO duties at Bayern Munich and Hasan Salihamidzic will be replaced as board member of sport.

Jan-Christian Dreesen, current Vice President, announced as replacement.

Successor for Salihamidzic is yet to be decided by the club.

As disclosed by the club’s official website:

Oliver Kahn is no longer CEO of FC Bayern München AG. Hasan Salihamidžić will also be replaced as board member for sport. This was decided by the club’s supervisory board. Kahn will be replaced by the current vice-chairman of the board Jan-Christian Dreesen. Salihamidžić’s successor is still to be decided.

Herbert Hainer, chairman of the FC Bayern supervisory board: “Jan-Christian Dreesen has done an outstanding job for FC Bayern over the past ten years. He lives FC Bayern, knows the club inside out and knows what is important here. We are very pleased that he is taking on this task. He can get to work without a period of adjustment, and that’s exactly what FC Bayern needs in the current situation.”
